3.5-year-old Weimaraner Mix | Selma, NC

Harvey is a handsome, big-hearted 3.5-year-old male Weimaraner mix looking for a new home through a courtesy listing. He is black, weighs 103 lbs, and was born in July 2022. Harvey is energetic, playful, and very smart — a dog who truly thrives when he has people around and time to burn off energy.

Harvey loves playing catch, running, and being engaged with his people. He has a medium–high energy level but settles nicely after proper exercise. He is motivated by food and rubber toys that bounce, making him a great candidate for continued training.

He does well with children and has lived successfully with a 5-year-old. He has not been around cats or other dogs in close proximity, so introductions would need to be handled thoughtfully. Harvey has no history of aggression, no bite history, and only minimal separation anxiety. He is fine being left alone.

Harvey is:

• Current on vaccinations

• Heartworm negative

• On monthly heartworm prevention

• No known health issues or medications

• Not neutered

• Not crate trained

• Not housebroken

• Leash skills need continued training

• No formal training yet

His family is seeking a new home for Harvey because they do not have enough time to give him the attention and activity he deserves. His ideal home would be an active individual, couple, or family with older children (upper elementary age and up) who have the time and energy to engage with him regularly. Harvey would do best with structure, consistency, and someone excited to help him reach his full potential.
