Ladd is a sweet, mellow guy who thrives in a calm environment. He loves everyone he meets—humans and dogs alike—and he’s as gentle as they come. He shares his food, toys, and even his people without a single grumble. Need your dog’s nails trimmed or teeth brushed? Ladd’s your man—he actually enjoys the attention!He is fully housebroken and will politely let you know when he needs to go outside, either by ringing bells or nudging you for attention. While he can do stairs, we’d prefer a home without them, just to be safe. Medical Notes:

Ladd is recovering from CCL injuries in both knees. Under veterinary guidance, he’s been healing with rest, medication (Gabapentin and Trazodone), and controlled leash walks. While he’s made great progress, future surgery might be necessary depending on how things go—his adopter should be prepared for that possibility.Because of this, no stairs, no dog parks, and no roughhousing dogs. He needs a low-energy home with respectful or senior pups that won’t tempt him into play. Ladd enjoys walks but must be leashed and supervised—his zoomies are adorable but not safe right now. Smart & Food-Motivated:

Like any Weim worth his sniffer, Ladd is clever and food-driven. He knows his basic commands—sit, down, stay—and recalls well unless his nose finds something irresistible. He can get bored during his healing downtime, so puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and enrichment games are a must. (And yes, he will counter surf if you leave snacks unattended. He’s old, not dead.)
